Ethylene propylene rubber/EPDM/EPM

Ethylene propylene rubber (EPM EPDM) is copolymer of ethylene and propylene, usually divided into ethylene-propylene rubber and ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber. It's featured with excellent resistance to ozone, UV, weathering and aging. Stability are the best among the general-purpose rubbers. Electrical insulation, chemical resistance, impact elasticity,and resistance to acid are good; Low specific gravity , can be highly filled. Heat-resistant up to 150 u00b0 C, resistance to polar solvents - ketones, esters, etc., but intolerant of aliphatic hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons. Other physical and mechanical properties slightly inferior to natural rubber but superior to styrene butadiene rubber. The disadvantage is that the self-adhesive, mutual viscosity is poor, difficult to glue. Operating temperature range: about -50 u00b0 C to +150 u00b0 C.Mainly used for chemical equipment lining, wire and cable sheath, steam hose, heat-resistant conveyor belts, automotive rubber products and other industrial products.
