Production process: Take high-purity isobutylene and small amount of high-purity isoprene as raw materials, chloromethane as solvent and aluminium trichloride as catalyst, the IIR copolymer rubber product is produced under -95u00ba C temperature.

Butyl rubber is not compatible with any of the diene rubbers, therefore all mixing and processing equipments must be thoroughly cleaned before mixing butyl rubber.

Butyl rubber requires more active accelerators like thiuram and dithiocarbamates with sulphur (1.0 to 2.0 phr) and 5.0 phr ZnO.

Butyl rubber can be cured between 150-170u00baC. Fast curing combinations can give slow cure even at 100u00baC. To reduce cure time, higher temperatures above 180u00baC are suggested.

Application: Butyl rubber is mainly used for the industries such as tire inner lining and inner tube, curing bladder, medical bottle closure, electrical insulating materials, sealing materials and film of cable heads; The current production of butyl rubber, IIR1751, is an irreplaceable material for manufacturing inner tube of meridian tire and tubeless tire; It has passed GB / T 19002-1994 Quality Management System Certification.
