The X42 series limit switch (also called travel switch) is an automatic control apparatus used to switch the circuit according to the position of the motion part, by doing which to control the motion direction, travel size or protection of the position of the moving part. It can be divided into mechanical type and electrical type. For now, our X42A series limit switch belongs to the former, which is mainly composed of switching component, wiring terminal, switch actuating part and transmission part. Based on the mechanical ON/OFF principle of the switch contact head, it can be divided into two categories:

Slow-action switch: the switching time of the ON/OFF action is independent of the acting speed of the switch, the faster the acting speed is, the faster the switching is.

Snap-action switch: the switching time of the ON/OFF action is dependent on the acting speed of the switch, the ON/OFF switching is activated as soon as the switch actuating part reaches the required position.
