• This conductor has solid or stranded high carbon, high tensile steel core in centre surrounded by strands of aluminum (E.C. GRADE) wires.
• ACSR CONDUCTOR is available in a wide range of steel having carbon upto 60%.
• The proportions of aluminum and steel can be varied to obtain the relation between current-carrying capacity and mechanical strength best suited to each application, generally, Aluminium content is 68% and steel content is 32%.
• ACSR conductor is used as bare overhead conductor for primary and secondary distribution.
